Jean Pierre Raynaud

Born in Courbevoie on April 20, 1939.

After his horticulture diploma obtained in 1958 and his military service completed in 1961, he produced works from forbidden senses and flower pots filled with cement and also white ceramic tiles with black joints.

These will quickly become the trademark of the artist. The strong signs of society will be inscribed in his work.

1939년 4월 20일 파리근교 쿠르베브와에서 태어났다.

1958년에 원예학교를 졸업하고 1961년에 군복무 후,  정원사로 일하다가 시멘트를 채운 화분 작업으로 작가로 입문하였다. 그의 대표작은 화분과 금지판, 백색타일 등이 있고 초대형금색화분을 북경의 자금성에 생존작가 최초로 전시했다. 레이노는 현재 프랑스 현대미술가로써 전 세계 주요미술관과 컬렉터들로 부터 무한한 인기를 누리는 작가이다. 

일상의 오브제를 예술작품으로 전위하는데 탁월했던 그는 개념미술의 대표적인 작가로 프랑스 현대미술사에 커다란 족적을 남긴 작가이다.
